I lived one block off the square and every Saturday would wake up and walk to this gem. I didn't need to do much or any grocery shopping while the Farmer's Market was in season. They have pastries, fruits, veggies, local meats, local dairy, crafts and much more. This is the only place I have ever found where I can get a 20 year aged cheddar. (Which was delicious by the way.) It is an excellent way to contribute to the local economy and to struggling local farmers. The station will identify itself as organic if it is and make it quite easy to navigate and find things. Yes, of course there are crowds, but that is a wonderful thing! Look how many people care about local farming! There are many street performers as well, and I always appreciate their entertainment.
