We decided to spontaneously try this restaurant on a Thursday evening. Easy access and plenty of parking. Ambiance is old school Italian, frescoes on the walls, white table clothes and comfortable seating. Our waiter (who was excellent and attentive) informed us of specials and also that most pastas were made in house, veggies organic, chicken free range, fresh not frozen or farm raised fish. This wasn't noted in the menu or website but was certainly a nice surprise.
We started with Caesar salad which was very good, crisp lettuce, homemade croutons and high quality Parmesan cheese. Chicken Marsala was not on the menu but the chef had no problem making it. The dish came with veggies and our additional request of pasta. The other dish we ordered was eggplant Parmesan with penne. Both dishes were superb!
The Marsala had a good complement of mushrooms and the reduction was full flavored. The eggplant was perfectly cooked, generously covered with real mozzarella. Portions were more than ample and pricing very fair.
Dessert was cheesecake that tasted like it just came off the plane from New York, garnished with fresh berries and real whipped cream. This place is a great find. Mangia!
For the type of restaurant this is, it is deserving of a 5 star rating.
