Was hyped by the reviews so got 6 different cookies, an mini apple pie, a chocolate-orange muffin, and a almond macaroon all to split with my wife. There were some clear winners such as the chocolate chip cookie which had tasty chocolate chunks and a semi-melted center however it was the exception. The other cookies while generously portioned, were not revolutionary in flavor or texture. The tahini cookie tasted like a creamier sugar cookie, the snickerdoodle tasted like a regular snickerdoodle, etc. They all had the same moist homogenous slab texture of most grocery store cookies; no crisped edges or gooey centers. The apple pie was more of a crumble with its granola topping and while it was still sweet and tasty, the apples hadn't leaked any juice to make a syrup so it was quite dry overall. The muffin which had a nice strong orange flavor with the same great chocolate chunks as the cookie was already noticeably drying out even by the early afternoon. Overall I felt let down in the desserts department and while I hear their breads and rolls are great but I'm not particularly motivated to come back after my initial experience. Their stuff isn't bad it's just that I've been to other bakeries where everything I taste is mind-blowing and this is not one of them.
