| - A very authentic restaurant with a very comprehensive menu of bistro fare. I was visiting town with my picky Cantonese-heritage parents who, after having lived in and assimilated fully into the US for over 40 years, still insist on going out for Chinese food when we travel. After too many mediocre experiences in Chinatown, I insisted on having real French-inspired food for dinner, and even my parents enjoyed the change in scenery for once.
A foie gras torchon appetizer was almost entrée-sized, and was a nice, savory way to start the meal. We all elected meaty selections for our main courses, and these were nicely presented and of quite decent quality, whether a steak entrée, a duck confit dish, or, if I remember correctly, a pork belly dish. The pricing was perfectly appropriate given the overall size and quality of the offerings.
Service was also quite reasonable. While things were very quiet the night we visited, the restaurant is quite large and can handle lots of people over several floors which can let in the outside air when the weather is warmer. Overall, a solid, decent choice for French bistro fare.
