Not what I expected for a Hilton property.
The lobby & pool are gorgeous. However thats where it stops...the hotel room halls and room decor are hideous and tacky. The 80's retro hollywood theme is ugly and poorly executed, making this property look outdated, old and dingy. Half of the room did not have any lights...it was dark. Not a bad thing considering the decor. The shade did not work and it took 3 calls for them to fix it at 9 PM! No wash cloths in the bathroom. I'm willing to bet the black toilet never gets cleaned.
After check-in I stopped at the "Experience" desk where the the gal offered me a few coupons but her job is primarily to get me to their timeshare presentation. I declined. She forgot to credit me my Hilton Honor points just for stopping by. Now that I've seen this awful property I'd never want to be an owner. Elara is supposed to be their premier location.
The upside was the bed was comfy, it's stumbling distance into the Miracle Mall, and if you like Starbucks it's inside the lobby and open 24hrs.
