  • Chili Relleño...YES PLEASE!!! This place is amazing! I had it delivered last week and the toddler tore it to pieces. He polished off rice, beans, chips and a pupusa!! I had the chili relleno plate (how I gauge Mexican food restaurants) and it is, by far, the best chili relleno plate I've had in the states. The food overall is on point! I've been trying to get the wife to go ever since. She's a total foodie but has been incredibly reluctant to try this place out for some reason. Well folks, today was the day she finally said yes. She had the huevos rancheros (her method) and then the bedroom eyes appeared. She was lost in her meal. She was totally impressed. She couldn't stop talking about how authentic the food was. She began rambling about past trips down south and how El Salvador is now bumped to the list of priority designations. Score!! Service was nice. Facility clean. Server brought me a sample of 'horchata' which is similar to, but quite different than, Mexican horchata. They've won many awards and there's a good reason why!! Yes the food takes time to cook...because it's actually being cooked. People docking stars for the time it takes to prepare a hot fresh meal should stick with fast food. It's a shame that businesses like this get lower ratings for doing things the right way. Salvadoreno, there's a special place for you in our hearts :)
