  • I called this company based on the 5 star reviews but, I have to say, my experience was very disappointing. We are in the process of selling our house and as part of the inspection, the buyers are asking for repairs to two small windows. I spoke with Nadine on Friday 7/7 and we scheduled an appointment with Gerod for Saturday 7/8 at 2pm to come out and give an estimate. I got an email confirmation of the appointment. I had mentioned to her that we are no longer living in the house and asked if he could please call me when he's on his way so I can head over to the house. It gets to be 1:40 and I don't hear from anyone so I called Gerod - the name / number that was listed on my appointment confirmation email. He says he has no idea about the appointment and can't make it and can we reschedule for today - Sunday 7/9. I explain to him that I have to pick my kids up from camp to it would have to be in the morning. We agreed on 10am. 10am comes and I am at the house waiting. Gerod calls at 10:11am and says he's 10 minutes away. He finally shows up at 10:35am - again, I'm on a limited schedule because I have to pick kids up from camp which I was very clear about. So, Gerod looks at the windows and says they can not be fixed and must be completely replaced. He then starts to figure out an estimate and mentions multiple times that this job is very dangerous, time consuming, difficult etc... The windows are 18"x16", right next to each other on a 2nd story with a garage roof right beneath it. I've climbed on that roof myself to hang Christmas lights and really, they do this for a living so I'm not sure why all the drama about how dangerous it is. Anyway, as he's calculating the estimate, he says it's normally an additional $195 second story fee per window but, because the windows are right next to each other, he'll only have to charge that fee one time. So, he comes up with an estimate of $559 to replace both windows. I explained to him that we are already doing several other repairs the buyers asked for so I'm not sure how we are going to handle this repair but, I asked him if he would email me an estimate and I would talk with my realtor. Gerod seems irritated and at this point starts packing up and walking out the door as I'm still talking. He can't get away fast enough. He then calls me a few minutes later and tells me he "forgot" that he will only honor the one time $195 upstairs window charge if we agree to the work today. Otherwise if we don't book the work today, he's going to charge us $195 PER window - not the $195 total he had initially said. So, he finally emails the estimate and it's $559.65 if I book today or $839.65 if I wait. So, somehow, now the additional $195 has now turned into and additional $280. If this is how this company does business, I would never work with someone like this. I have no idea how this company got so many positive reviews with business practices like this.
