I went to Ridenow Rancho to purchase a used motorcycle that was advertised at a sale price. I was assured by email twice that the advertised price was correct. I had cash and was ready to buy on the spot.
When I buy a used bike at a dealership I fully expect to pay sales tax and some kind of doc fee. What I don't expect or appreciate is being quoted fees approaching 50% of the asking price of the motorcycle. One of the more laughable fees was a reconditioning fee, as one of the rear turn signals was literally held on by electrical tape! I really don't appreciate Ridenow playing games and wasting my time.
I am a past customer, I purchased a brand new 2012 Z1000 from Ridenow Boulder, but I guess I won't be buying anything from any Ridenow in the future. I really just don't understand the logic in conducting business this way. It really perpetuates the negative stereotypes of dealerships. Don't be enticed by their "clearance" prices on their website, it's all a scam and a waste of time.
