  • I'm out in Vegas for a conference this week, first time in years I've traveled for work and the first time I've ever been in Las Vegas, and we were put up at this Hilton. I usually love Hiltons so I had high expectations even though this place is off the strip. All I can say is Wow. Full kitchen, bedroom, tv room, shower, tub, and even a washer/dryer. I usually don't stay in places this nice unless I'm with my wife, but this place is great. Lots of parking, nice pool, and a poolside bar are all very nice amenities. I sat at the bar with a co-worker and told the bartender I wasn't feeling well and needed something with bourbon. He gave me a nod and and said he had just the thing...made me a Makers Mark hot toddy. For someone with a chest cold I'd say it was liquid perfection. I do wish the pool area and bar stayed open later (10pm), but it's Vegas and I guess they'd rather have you out at the casinos... I was able to get out and have some FUN out here, but when we were done it was nice to come back to a room where I could sleep in comfort.
