Can I give 0 stars?! We scheduled our move about 2 weeks prior with an arrival window between 12 and 2 pm. We didn't hear anything until 2:30 when the foreman called and said that the job before us was running very late and that they wouldn't be to our house until 4:30 pm. I said "OK, nothing I can do about that I suppose" He then asked me if we needed to move that day.. um.. I told him "YES we have no choice and we took work off and have a house full of boxes and no clothes or food here" He then changed his tone as to be annoyed by my answer and said "oh OK we will be there at 4:30"
We called and talked to the sales rep and he assured us "if they said they will be there at 4:30 they will be" OK yeah they arrived....only to come and tell us that our 3 HOUR quoted job (1300 sq foot house) would take SEVEN HOURS and the foreman tells us "I am not working until 7:30 I already worked 9 hours today" Is that OUR problem? NO. Why did the people before us get their home moved and we are not??
My boyfriend asked him if we could move the beds and large items as our food, toiletries and clothing were already at the other house and then do the boxes and the other items in the morning. He said they could do that but that they would have to still charge us for the travel on both days which would total 2 hours of time @ $95 each hour (total $190 just to drive?!)
I told them NO WAY, if you're not willing to move all of it then come back tomorrow. They offered us ONE HOUR free after waiting ALL DAY without the courtesy to at least call early in the day and tell us what was going on so we could actually accomplish something that day ONE HOUR FREE? That is unacceptable.
My boyfriend had to take another day off from work the next day due to their mistake and they DID NOT care; they arrived and it took 5 hours.
They also scratched our ceiling in the stair well and LEFT BOXES at the home after the move. BAD SERVICE!! Find someone else to help move you!
