| - I first saw rick's bakery at farmer's market but never tried anything. Then one day I had a strong craving for cake, searched nearby bakeries on Yelp, saw rick's bakery, read good reviews, remembered it from farmer's market, and then decided to try it out. It's lil far from my place. They had good options for cakes. On my first visit, I tried tres leches and tiramisu. Loved both. Till now, I have tried tres leches, princess cake, chocolate cake, tiramisu, spinach croissant , butter croissants, veg and chicken tamales and chicken burrito. I wanted to try a lot before writing review. Now, let me explain my review of each item:
Burrito(2/5):it was little dry, tasted just ok.
Chicken/veg tamales (3.5/5): I preferred to mix both of them and eat. They tasted good. Veg had tomatoes, onions and I guess green peppers. Chicken had just chicken with some spices. It did not come with any side sauce. Tamales were better than some I tasted before but then I have tasted better as well. Would recommend to try.
Princess cake (2/5): this cake had a weird taste, may be because of marzipan. I did not like it.
Chocolate cake (4/5): it was good, Just wished to be little moist.
Tres leches(5/5): loved it, there was nothing I did not like about this cake. It's my favorite. Recommend it 100%
Tiramisu(5/5): it was moist, nice coffe flavor, a delight for my taste buds. But once I bought whole cake which was little dry as the ladyfingers were not properly soaked with coffee. Anyways, that was only once. If you want to try, try with the slice of cake.
Spinach/Butter croissants(3/5): I found them little dry. Could have been better with little extra butter in pastry. But still they tasted fine.
I will always come back for tres leches, tiramisu and tamales.
