This place is a complete scam.
About a week and half ago I went to purchase a 2014 Ford Focus SE with around 13K miles on it.
I drive off the lot with my new car and the deal still wasn't approved by the bank so they said I would hear from them shortly. Three days go by and I start to have buyers remorse and attempt to return the car. Keep in mind they never contacted me to tell me if the loan was approved or not.
I head back over to the dealership in an attempt to return the car and they told me I couldn't because the loan was approved and that the bank now owns the vehicle. I then propose a voluntary repossession and return the vehicle. However, I had this gut feeling that the loan was never approved (I was never shown proof).
I then return to the dealership to see if the car is out on their sales floor, and it was. Now how could they sell the same car if the bank owned it? They blatantly lied to my face about the loan being approved. I go inside the dealership to confront the finance manager. He told me that my car wasn't a repossession (even though I filled out a form to agree to a repo) and that I would be fine and wouldn't see anything show up on my credit report.
I have a feeling that they were still waiting to hear from the bank if the loan was approved or not this whole time, and if it was, they would still get their commission check while I would be stuck with a repossession on my credit report. Clearly, Ford still owns the vehicle and has it out in their sales floor, meaning I was lied to.
