  • Outside of Iceland and New Iceland (Gimli, Manitoba) this bakery is as authentic as it gets. I tried so many treats and there wasn't one that I wouldn't recommend. Everything was fresh and delicious. Even the coffee somehow tasted like it came from Iceland. Birgir the baker is warm and genuine. He greets everyone with small town friendliness which is refreshing in a big city. I'm sure the neighbourhood is happy to have him (Danforth near Woodbine) I'm just grateful he's in Toronto and near to the subway!
