| - Biked past here on the way back to work from a quick lunch errand, to grab a bag of goodies for my beautiful girlfriend and our two friends. I quickly saw the 6 for $11 deal, grabbed a variety pack of cookies (2 compost, 2 corn, 1 of each of the blueberry cookies, and one slice of crack pie).
There was a huge lineup upstairs, but thankfully the downstairs register was wide open. I was in and out in about 3 minutes, got back to work and unwrapped the compost cookie - absolutely delicious. You can really taste the potato chips but the pretzels eluded me. Overall, a really great balance of flavour, and I'm looking very forward to testing out the rest.
Update: Okay, after trying all the varieties of cookie/crack pie, I will maintain my rating, with the caveat that the cookies are super-greasy, but certainly not un-delicious.
Compost: As mentioned above, it was pretty tasty, and actually the least buttery of all the cookies. Probably my personal favourite due to the fact that I wasn't overwhelmed with how fattening it probably was.
Cornflake/Marshmellow: We passed this one around somewhere in the middle of Pacific Rim, probably around one the scenes where Charlie Day was, as my girlfriend put it, being incapable of not-screaming. We all agreed it was the tastiest cookie, but I should add that it didn't make me feel very good.
Corn bread: After just touching this cookie I needed to wipe my hands with paper towel. Very delicious and delivered on it's promise of tasting just like a piece of corn bread in cookie format, albeit over-sweetened and over-buttered.
Blueberry and Cream: At this point I think I was in a butter coma, but I do remember not being impressed. But maybe that's just because it was the last cookie of the night.
Crack Pie: Don't know what all the fuss is about, it tasted like pecan pie kind of, but way too sweet/rich.
Overall, I'd say that there are certainly better $2 cookies out there, but the flavours are interesting enough that I wouldn't dissuade anyone from giving them a try. I would pass on the Crack Pie though.
