| - This past weekend had me coming to Vegas for a friends bachelor party. After showering him with many many woman providing dances of the lap variety on Friday, Saturday was the club night. We had a promoter set everything up. Bottle service for 16 freakin' dudes. As far as getting into the club, it's a good thing we had it because the outside was a mess. A mob of people mashed up just waiting to be looked at and hopefully let in. One person in our party had chucks on and it wasn't even brought up. A long escalator takes you to the club entrance.
Once inside we were treated very well. We were told if anyone gave us problems, people were sitting in our area, girls we "were tired of" wouldn't go away - just say the word and they'd take care of it. Ludacris and Tommy Lee were there filming a movie. We got shown our area but decided to sit somewhere else because it was too far from the dance floor - no problem.
The overall look of the club wasn't too impressive. The dance floor was really crowded and the music was incredibly loud. I'm not one for the clubs, nor do I love hip hop all that much, but the DJ did a great job of mixing it up. Hip hop, old school, rap, pop, house, rock, 80's, Latin - it was all in there. I didn't even feel the need to check out the other room. A remixed version of Rage Against The Machine's 'Killing In The Name Of' had me impressed.
All in all I would not come here again unless we once again had VIP status and it was on someone else's dollar. $1,800 not including tip. Plus I think they tipped (well me included since I added to the pot) over $600. WTF!?! Let's not kid ourselves - we're not rich. I see absolutely no need to fork out that kinda money for such things. This crowded club w/ a few gogo dancers isn't worth all that.
I didn't even really drink that night. 5 bottles and I only had a half a drink and a shot of Patron- by choice. Bachelor boy did have a great time though. My wallet and I however, weren't as impressed with our experience.
