We signed our granddaughters up for an Easter pancake, cookies, cupcakes lesson. There were 16 kids in the class. The ages ranged from about 5 to about 14. They had one teaching chef and one assistant chef. The class was very Hands-On. The kids got to prepare the dough and the batter. They got to decorate the pancake, cookie, and cupcake. The teaching chef manage to engage the kids at all levels despite the spread in ages. In fact, I learned several things by observing from the back row. Best of all, the kids got to eat the product of their labor. And they got to keep the apron. It is a bit pricey, especially if you're coming with more than one kid. But if giving your kid a very positive cooking experience outweighs the price , this is a very good lesson.
