My friend came into Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital with symptoms of pneumonia. Right away, the doctor said it was probably lung cancer, but he would need to wait for the test results to determine course of treatment.
For some unexplained reason, Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital delayed doing the tests for two days. Then, the Cleveland Hillcrest Hospital shared that there was a delay in getting the teats back (the Cleveland Clinic got rid of satellite labs in favor of a main lab which relies on couriers, has backlogs and tends to misplace results).
Finally, the results came and showed that my friend had Stage 4 cancer and it was very aggressive and that she needed immediate treatment. But it was too late; she became unresponsive before treatment could begin. If only the Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital had acted sooner and responsibly.
