| - This is a no-frills laundromat with rock-bottom prices. Do not expect anything fancy. The equipment is pretty basic, and a lot of machines are out-of-order (though these are clearly marked), but the prices more than make up for it.
WASHERS
They have about a dozen top-loading washers (only about half of which work), and they are a bargain at $1.25 per load. There are about 20 front loaders (most of which work), and they are a cheap $2.00 per load. There are two "triple load" front loaders (only one of which was working) for $3.50 per load. As the $2.00 machines seemed to be of the "double load" size, you would really only want to use the triple load machine for oversize things like comforters, anyway.
DRIERS
There are maybe 30 or so driers, and they are 25ยข for 5 minutes. Maybe I had a bad drier, but my impression is that the driers don't get as hot as they do at most laundromats, as it took longer than usual to dry my laundry, even on the hottest seting. Even so, it's very difficult to beat the prices here.
SOAP & AMENITIES
They have a small vending machine for detergent, bleach, and fabric softener: $1.00 for each.
There is no wi-fi (you might be able to get a weak connection from one of the neighbouring businesses/schools), but there chairs and a few tables in addition to the ample clothes-folding counters.
The baskets for transferring clothes from the washing machines to the dryer are your standard plastic household baskets, and not the wheeled laundry carts some places have.
HOURS
They close at 10:00, but last load is really a little before 9:00. The entrance on St. Catherines seems to be closed/locked earlier than the entrance around the corner on Chomedy.
