| - I had the honor of attending a Yelp Elite event hosted by Glow Zone. My son and I had so much fun, I couldn't WAIT to go back. So, the following night I called a sitter and my hubby and I had a GZ date night!
We purchased the 2hr unlimited passes which gave us unlimited access to the attractions. The attractions are awesome! My personal favorite is the skyscraper ropes course. There's one course up there I won't try, it's so scary. The wall climbing and pole hopping courses are really fun. I was terrified to take the leap at the end, but once I did I realized it's not scary at all. My hubby rocked the ninja course. It's definitely geared for adults, but kids are also encouraged to try. The bumper cars are really cool. I've never seen bumper cars like that! Back in my day you left with whiplash and sore arms from trying to steer a heavy wheel. The only attraction that was less than awesome was the laser maze. It has potential to be really cool, and maybe my kids would love it, but it didn't work well and we didn't see any instructions so we weren't really sure what to do.
I was delighted to discover that the employees are just as friendly and helpful with "normal" customers, not just special event customers. Every employee is happy, energetic, and they can to encourage you to have a great time, no matter how slow the night is going.
The arcade games are newer and all work well. We didn't get to play any with our unlimited passes (I played some at the event the night before). When we return we will skip the unlimited passes and pay for each attraction + get an arcade pass of some sort. We spent probably an hour up on the ropes course so we didn't need an unlimited pass to go back up. Unlimited passes might be worth it for energetic kids that want to try everything over and over. But for this old lady, one time for each attraction was plenty.
Glow Zone is a wonderful place for kids and kids at heart. I highly recommend checking it out!
