As of a month ago I had been a member of Youfit for two years. I hadn't been in recent months due to travel and personal reasons but I decided I wanted to start up again. I walk in, they scan my card and tell me to have a great workout. Except, a minute later the front desk gal tracks me down to tell me my membership expired back in July. Okay, no big deal - I'll go ahead and renew. I've paid $112 up front both times I renewed, apparently there was a special going on. Unfortunately this time around there was no special and it was going to be $220. I'm no math whiz but $10 a month x 12 months should equal $120. Anyway, I told the gal I would just do the one month this time, to which she tells me my total will be $69. There is first and last month and an initiation fee. WTF? Initiation fee when I've already been with them for two years, what a joke. Against my better judgement I just say whatever and go ahead and commit.. I pull out my credit card, to which she tells me they need my bank info and routing. Are we serious here? It's 2016 and you're not accepting a credit card? Needless to say I walked straight the hell out of there and will never return. The staff have always been fairly friendly and the equipment that I used was only clean but I guess they've gone shady over the years which is too bad. I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
