I won't use them as a passenger after learning of their practices as a driver.
They deactivate people close to bonuses with no explanation. Just a vague email stating they don't take phone calls and if you want to email go ahead, but no one will reply. Nice folks.
They stick it to their drivers big time. Whether it's risk exposure of the vehicle...oversaturating areas with drivers, making the system opaque to the drivers, driver pay cuts, luring them in with reasonable bonus metrics only to double them in a couple of weeks... Those cheap rides come from sticking it to the driver (I made less than $5 an hour, working it hard and by the book), not from efficiency.
I hate to say it, but taxis cost money for a reason...the insurance and paying drivers more than what you'd pay a teenage babysitter.
Highly unethical and uncaring.
