I would give zero stars if possible and warn anyone in law enforcement to stay far away from this place. We used to eat there at least once every 6 weeks. Ate there March 12th and our waiter started friendly and all seemed fine. Another couple joined us 15-20 min later, and from there the service went downhill. Our friend is a police officer and was recounting a story and talking about general policy related things. There was nothing derogatory said and it was just a normal conversation. When our server brought our food he dropped it off at the table and said "Here you go Chitlins." Never came back to refill the iced tea or ask us if we wanted another cocktail. When our bill came he refused to split it between the two couples (which takes one minute and is something they have always done before), which forced us to split it up ourselves. The drinks ordered were $11 on the menu and we were charged $13 for each one on the bill, it would have gone unnoticed if he would have just split our bill by couple. He was extremely rude and aggressive about it when we asked why it was more...to the point of asking our husbands to come over to him if we had a problem.
We paid the full bill plus over 20% tip and left.
When we left we looked up the word "Chitlins", and discovered it meant pig. Management was called and told the situation..... and I would have assumed he would have been fired for calling us pigs. They only said he would be disciplined. He was in control of our food and we have no idea what he may have done to it while he had it. To be so disrespectful of police officers, and to have management allow that behavior is sickening.
