We've had Moroccan food before, but last night's dinner was awesome! The menu is a set six-course meal for $45 per person and well worth it. Took my mother here for her birthday dinner and she and the entire family loved it! The first course was a Moroccan-style shrimp scampi that was so delicious, sauce and all! The second course was a lentil and lemon soup that even my 17-month old grandson couldn't get enough of. Third course consisted of cold vegetables (cucumbers, carrots, olives, a pepper salsa) and hummus. I'm the only one in the family who really enjoys hummus but this hummus was so creamy we were all fighting for the last bit of it. Beef Kabobs followed and were perfectly cooked. Last of the main courses was quartered chicken with couscous and vegetables. The chicken was so tender it fell right off the bone. And for desert - a flaky pastry filled with bananas, chocolate and walnuts served with warm Moroccan tea. All was superb and we couldn't finish it all. Looking forward to leftovers tonight. We will definitely be going back.
Oh - and for the entertainment, a belly dancer puts on a good show. The grandson was so mesmerized that he couldn't take his eyes off her!
