As a frequent flier, the LAS airport has both good and bad. Sure, it's close to the strip. Cab lines move pretty quickly, and you can be at your hotel fast! Also, if you love Vegas, the idea of slot machines in the terminal must be a winner. Personally, I wonder every time just who are those people that have such a bad gambling habit that they can't even wait an hour or so for a plane - rather they must dump their last $20 into what must be the "worst odds" slot machines in the state.
There is plenty of different food choices. Be ready for a crazy time getting through security - as the TSA has master the bottleneck at this airport. TSA Pre is a must - flying first class is better. (Can you say - "Go to the front of the line!" - YA!)
While Vegas is a necessary evil for many of us, the airport doesn't change my perception of the city either way. More than three days in a row get to be too much.
