  • I went to this company after purchasing a $39 Groupon. I felt that the hospitality and customer service at this place is sadly lacking. When I arrived, a staff member was at the end of the hallway, turned around and said, "Yes?" There was no greeting of any sort. When I replied that I was here for a 3 p.m. massage, a second person wearing a medical scrub top appeared sitting at a manicure station but was getting up still looking at her cell phone. She gave me paperwork to sign. When I returned the paperwork, she was still looking at her cell phone and not giving me eye contact of any kind. I wanted to use the restroom but the door was locked. Besides me, the scrub wearer, and the "Yes" person, there was an employee working on a customer's hair in the back. It later turned out that since the washer and dryer are in the bathroom, the bathroom may be occupied when in fact, laundry is being done. The technique of the massage was good, though in my 15 years of getting a massage, I have never had a towel used for draping. My immediate thought was, "wow, what cheap draping." Through the dry wall, you can hear talking from the restaurant next door. Throughout the facility, incense is burned so if you don't like the smell of strong incense, this may give you a headache. After my massage was completed, I was not given any water nor given any instructions or encouragement for stress management, overall health, etc. The massage therapist left, and immediately, three different people opened the door without knocking in a matter of 4 minutes. Thank goodness I was dressed, but there appeared to be an assumption that since the massage therapist was out of the room, anyone could just enter at any time. I don't know if these are customers or workers, but if it is a customer, shouldn't he/she be escorted to rooms rather than just opening doors willy nilly? I feel that customer service and hospitality is the number one problem for this place. Number two, it is very dark and dated feeling - a spa should be light and airy. There is a tired and has-been feeling here. I believe a customer would receive better hospitality and an overall more enjoyable experience at a massage school for an even better price.
