I stayed at the Tudor Arms hotel for 1 full week and I found somethings to be great and others to be not so great. I really like the preserved building and it is beautiful inside. I think that it goes to show you that this place is cared for by how well the architecture is taken care of.
The beds are supper comfortable, and the the showers were amazing. I think the bathrooms were super nice and I liked how they were set up.
Some of the areas that could deff be improved upon would be the Customer Service of the staff members at this hotel. I am Gold with Hilton and have stayed at a lot of property's and some have great staff and others not so great, and this fall is the not so great staff.
Reason 1, we were in town for a conference, the conference had shuttles, the shuttle busses were usually full by the time they arrived at our hotel. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle, so we asked to be put on that. We were told No the first time, and the next day when we went to get on the shuttle driver was SO rude and said this way for paying guest only. WHAT? I am staying at your hotel for a full week and paying more than $700 dollars to do so and you want to be rude about that?!? Horrible service.
Then the other time I asked the manager working the front desk if we needed to pay the shuttle driver and she said a Nice tip should be given. No other Hilton property would ever say that, usually they just say it is complimentary.
Also, the floors in the guest room feel like they are going to brake when you walk on them.
I think this hotel has a lot of positives, but the staff needs to change how the handle guest service!!!
