So here's the Jimmy! Today being Saturday 31st of August and Labour Day long weekend I Took a little trip to the candy store for a few nibbles. I was not just shocked but completely disgusted with what I saw and was told!
I so walk in and was doing a little walk around and noticed a bottle of Lucozade and thought yum..I looked at the quid price of 1.69 and turned the bottle round to see the price they are charging a ridiculous $7.85. I almost laughed my jeans off!!
So I walked away as quick as possible to oh! the candy I love "Violets" only to see these were out of date on 31st of August 2014, So being there were about 15-20 rolls in there, I started a convo with the young extremely nervous girl who was working. I explained that there is quiet a few out of date or very soon like tomorrow products that are still sitting there. She tried to explain something that completely makes me understand where people in certain retail jobs are ripped apart by others.
She stated they are still fine and that people still come in and buy them, she said the owner is aware. So at that point I took my two cans of Ginger Beer (Still in date) and left. I will never return to this place. When the owner of ANY company doesn't care about product and/or their customers, I can only hope they get closed down soon.
I also uploaded the pictures for example.
In case some people think I'm being out of order, I run an independent business here in Calgary that is in retail selling horror and sci-fi merch called "Haven of Horrors" and I will always put my customers first regardless! People with small businesses need, NEED to realise without customers, providing not just amazing products but great customer service means everything.
