This is a new ``hybrid `` boutique as I would like to call it that has recently opened up shop in the Dundas West neighbourhood..
This area is home to a myriad of little shops, housing unique gems that one could spend alot of time wandering into. Lost and Found sits a stones throw away from Ossington. This boutique/coffee bar definitely fits into the neighbourhood vibe.
What is it? Truthfully, I walked by this place and did a double take. Coffee and clothes? How? My two favourite things combined into one place.
It's not a large space. Everything seems purposeful in choice to create the boutique even where the coffee bar and stools are.
The clothing and accessories were limited in choice but were well chosen. I found the pieces they chose to fill the store with were modern, yet classic. The fabrics were incredibly soft and luxurious. Kudos to the buyer.
As for the coffee , this was a nice treat to the shopping experience because usually I feel guilty walking into a clothing store with one. Fearing security will tell me to take it outside. How embarrassing, eh?
They use Metropolis. A fair trade coffee based out of Chicago. I love the packaging more than the coffee. If you are a coffee aficionado in Toronto, this is no Sam James or Manic but rather more reminiscent of Balzac's. It's not a bad brew but not the best.
As a new store, I think this place just needs more time to grow into it's concept. I would go back again.
