Several years ago, this use to be a Korean restaurant and now Roy's Raw Deal now occupies it. I was looking to try a different sushi restaurant instead of my usual, "Ken's" on Foothill.
The size is very intimate and the staff were very friendly. Roy always ask if you're allergic to any types of fish and that's very reassuring to know he cares about his customers. It can get busy on the weekends, so it's best to come as early as possible to get a good seat. Patrons are friendly and has the small town feel.
Sushi was very very fresh!
Service was excellent!
When the family wanted to have a special Christmas dinner in Las Vegas, they searched all over and decided on Michael Mina.
Reason for picking Michael Mina was the:
Triple AAA Four Diamond Award
Michelin Award
It's located inside the Bellagio Conservatory, right next to the Bellagio Café and features views of the Bellagio pool area. Reservations were highly recommended, so we made one 2 weeks in advance. Our host and servers were very courteous and lived up to the 5 star rating, as well as the food.
They only had a pre-fix menu during Christmas and was $115 per person!
I ordered:
AHI TUNA TARTARE
-ancho chili, mint, pine nut, sesame oil
Included: LOBSTER POT PIE
-seasonal vegetables, brandied-lobster cream
8 OZ ANGUS FILET MIGNON
-truffle potato, braised wagyu shortrib
CHOCOLATE CUSTARD
-candied pecans, bourbon toffee, whipped cream
The food and presentation was a huge win! I never thought I'd be eating at Michael Mina's restaurant inside the Bellagio but it was a special occasion and we wanted to make it very memorable, so Michael Mina ftw.
The clientele is obviously very classy but you don't need to wear formal attire to eat here. I saw some guests wearing casual clothing and looked like they just walked from the strip.
