  • I am giving a 1 star, only because I HAVE to. My actual rating would be -10, yes MINUS 10. Unfortunately I am one that has had storage units for many years (I know, MY fault) I am a customer and consumer, at GOOD one at that. I started renting from Storage One approximately 5 years ago I had GREAT service and accommodation with them, because of that i stayed. Then about 2 yrs ago Life Storage takes over. 1st they no longer continued my previous discount much less offered ANY discounts. Then after the first year with them they raised my rent $8.00/mo. no explanation or rational. I accepted it be cause the facility is close to my home. Then this last year they raised us another $17.00/mo. AGAIN no justification or rational. Now I would like to make a payment over the phone(as I am out of town) to avoid a late fee of $25.00. I have called and left several messages over the past few days. FORGET about speaking to a Real person, and yeah.......try and get them to call you back....GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!!!!!!!!! I cannot get ANYONE to answer the phone much less return my call. I am sure they are waiting just long enough so that a late fee can be assessed. Quite clever don't you think? I WILL be taking my things elsewhere ASAP. I emplore ANYONE looking to pay for storage, plz put your hard earned money into a facility where you WILL get what you pay for. sinserly, VERY DISSATISFIED
