  • Choosing Public Moving Services was one of the worst decisions I ever made. The estimate went up by over 2K once they had our stuff on their truck and they were absolutely impossible to get in touch with to arrange delivery. I once waited on hold for an hour and half before giving up. Every call required at least a half hour on hold before I could talk with someone. When I would get a hold of someone in dispatch, they would tell me the "dispatcher" would call with the delivery date. I finally had to tell them that I would file complaints with the WA Moving Commission and the NC Moving Commission if they didn't call back by the end of the day with a delivery date. When our stuff was delivered they tacked on an additional $550 fee (and what could I do as they wouldn't unpack the truck unless I paid the new fee?). The icing on the cake was opening the boxes they had packed for us and finding broken a kitchen appliance, broken bowls and cups, picture frames thrown together without any protection, and disassembled furniture with missing hardware. Working with Public Moving Services was a terrible experience.
