The only reason I have 1 stars is the physician himself. He was very nice, understanding, he was trying to be kind but also didn't step up and help someone in need...it ends up being all about money. I brought in a young lady who was having severe pain I her mouth/gums/teeth. Her physician had told her to find An urgent dentist. Unfortunately after filling out all the paperwork the front desk receptionist couldn't figure out how to verify the dental insurance. I had to call myself as a patient representative and try to get information. After verifying active insurance and supplying effective dates, if #s and further contact info, bc they could not speak to a rep and get financial details (as it was after hours)they refused to see her unless she cash paid. This girl not only had active dental through UHC and BCBS, but was covered by AHCCCS. so, would not have paid any costs. The front desk reception was inept at her job and the facility should have seen the patient on an urgent basis.
I took her to an emergency room later that night and got her into her dentist for the following Monday morning when offices opened again. Honestly, to call yourself a dental urgent care and not attend to urgent matters! They should be ashamed. If you're staff is not up to par and able to verify insurance properly without harassing the patient or making them feel bad, or degrading them about money then maybe you should reevaluate your practice and how you train your employees. DONT GO HERE!
