| - I'm sort of stunned at all the negative reviews of this show.
Our tickets were included in an all inclusive Luxor package. My husband has been a fan of Criss Angel for a while so this is a show that we were looking forward to. Just know that if they see you even so much as have your sell phone light on, blinking, or if you're just checking a text, they WILL ask you to leave. They also are more strict on no cameras.
Now, I will say, looking at the Choppers in the hall sort of was a turn off. Seeing all those little groupies posing for pictures like they thing Criss will notice them was sort of gross and irritating, but whatevs. The bikes were bad ass to look at, but not exactly my realistic view on a bike that I could actually get anywhere on.
Now on to the show:
I really thought Maestro was hill-freaking-arious. A lot of people on here thought he was irritating. I thought he was funny as hell and he made me laugh through the whole thing. The guy in the fat suit was pretty stupid and could have been thrown out of the show and not missed. I saw so many kids with their parents at this show. The 9:30 showing to be exact. The language and provocativeness lead me wondering what the hell these parents were thinking. Needless to say, it was fitting, but the kids just made it irritating.
Criss Angel is extremely full of himself. I would be too if I was as hot as he is and if I could do the stuff that he does. He basically spends the entire show thanking his fans and millions of viewers for making him so bad ass. Thus, I'm the shit. Let's not be so humble now.
Didn't think his blond "bombshell" Kaera was all that hot. All he did through the entire show was kiss her porn style and talk about how hot she is. Ehhhh not what I want to see...I want to see magic!
He did a lot of his signature stuff. The levitation just blows my mind away but I feel that there is more YouTube clips on the screen than there are anything else. I paid to see a magic show along with some cirque. There was nothing cirque about this show whatsoever. He also tells you if you blink, you'll miss the act. Well, it would help if you didn't have bright lights flashing and shining in our faces so we are forced to blink.
I gave this as many stars as I did because I am a fan of his, I am a fan of his magic and I really did like his sidekick Maestro. People, please leave your kids off to do something else if you are going to see this, know that no phones or cameras are allowed to be on, no glass bottles are allowed in the theater, no outside food or drinks are allowed, and no late admittance. They will make you wait until his act is over before they let you in, so there is much you're missing if you even so much as go to the bathroom.
