| - Edit: Going to bump this to two stars cause the bartender was actually not bad, I must of been in a bad mood when I wrote that :) It took forever to pour the beer cause it was all foam, but he filled me up again after I finished a half pour (though I probably should have said no because the peanut butter beer was that bad, at the same time that is not his fault). Still not all that impressed with the bar however.
This is a college bar, a bad one at that, which has somehow invaded downtown Champaign. A few tables outside, a bar inside, with more tables lining the narrow bar area with couches and TV's. Bad 90's music that you wish you would never hear again, but there it is. I guess this is a late night spot cause i have never seen anyone here. It is a shame that part of the old Vriner's shop is part of this crap.
The one bartender did his job and that is about it. He was not that knowledgable on the three taps available (mm, yeah not that hard). Though he did provide drink for me and one other person sitting at the bar, so I guess not that bad for service, if I grade on a curve.
Three taps, one is Bud Light, another is a mead (or cider, it was not clear) and another peanut butter stout thing that was beyond bad. From the other reviews it appears the taps are relatively new. They do have a somewhat decent bottle and can list. Though nothing that other places around, literally within a block, don't have.
A dive and sports bar, in a bad way. Beer list is pedestrian to say the lease, even though they do try to be somewhat of a beer bar. I would go almost anywhere else in downtown Champaign.
