| - I had stayed here for one night with my husband to attend a wedding at the Duquesne power center. The reception was in walking distance from the hotel, just a little over a block away, so driving was no concern. The hotel location is also right across the street from the consol energy center.
Once you pull up to the front of the hotel, you are greeted by the valet and door man. You have the choice to have the valet park your vehicle or you may purchase a parking pass/card for around $20. With the parking pass, you may come and go as you please from the parking garage below the hotel. Access to the garage is from a set of elevators in the hotel or you can walk (carefully) down the ramp.
The lobby is just as you enter and they have plenty of front desk attendants, so you are quick to get attended to. They are very professional and accommodating. Once they help you with your parking pass and direct you to your room you are free to explore! They have a bar and restaurant right off the lobby, a lounge area with couches and nice floral arrangements. They have a charging and Internet station as well. So far so good.
We had the king size, deluxe room. The room was spacious with a view of the university and business/ condo square. Our bed was chalk full of comfort, with a feather down comforter and many pillows. There was a nice sized flat panel tv, a couple chairs and a coffee pot (all the basics). The shower was clean and had the shampoos and soaps (the basics).
Overall, the hotel is clean, pretty, modern, and accommodating. The only thing I wish they offer is a free breakfast. With the cost of the room, you would think they would offer something like that.
