We attended a second moos and brews event with Aurochs brewing, a gluten free brewery. We sampled five cheeses that were each wonderfully paired with a different beer. We obviously enjoyed the first moos and brews event at hop farm so much that we wanted to try it again. There was a cheese at the hop farm event that I crave to this day, I just can't remember what it was. It was like a tan, dessert, toffee cheese. The hootenanny goat rodeo cheese that we tried at Aurochs was so delicious. It didn't taste like the typical goat cheese, it had a milder, nuttier flavor with a slight rubbery texture. We got some of that and vat 17 to go. The gran queso with spicy cinnamon and orange flavors was also fantastic. I guess I'll have to make a trip to the store to pick some up. Wheel and Wedge is a great addition to Pittsburgh, I look forward to trying their cheese at engine house 25 in the future.
