| - Prince's Island Park is Calgary's central oasis for just about everybody. There is a lot to see and do, and plenty of nooks and crannies to hide. For me, that means that while it is fun, I would not wander around that park at night by myself.
In the summer, it is the perfect hang out spot. It is lush and green, with lots of trees and picnic tables and places to play frisbee and soccer or just lie out in the sun. The Canada Day celebrations are always tons of fun, and the folk festival is pretty great too.
I love the layout, the river, and the size of the island/park. There is a lot to explore. The paths are beautiful and there is both riverfront territory along with some inland that has a great view. It is the perfect place for a bike ride in the summer.
I used to love wandering through the bushes with my friends when I was younger. We'd always uncover evidence of people "camping" - it's remoteness allows for some sketchy goings on. Putting that aside, it has a great view of downtown, places to feed the ducks, and is all around beautiful. I am full of love.
