Same owners as The Mission, same brilliantly executed overall customer experience.
You have a good chance of meeting the GM or owner while here. Waitresses are super attentive and wear fun, matching dresses.
You'll notice every dish is planned to nail more than one flavor experience. Something rich accompanied by something that cuts through it, which I TOTALLY appreciate: house braised brisket w/ white cheddar, then chili jam to cut thru... rich pork belly/ udon noodles, then housemade kimchi to cut thru... etc.
Typically don't like French food, but I imagine this is the best place for it. Super inventive, cutting-edge menu. Loved the duck bahn mi with housemade kimchi. Black kale salad with pepitas (same pepitas I noticed from The Mission's OUTSTANDING tableside guac) and peppercorn dressing was perfect for brunch.
