| - Uber is not safe, especially for women. I had a seriously unsafe driver today and they wouldn't even refund the ride. It was really serious, but the customer service team didn't take it seriously at all, even when I told them I'd call the police. Here is the email trail:
Hey -
I'm sorry that I can't help further with regards to this particular trip. While I can't offer you a refund, we applied a credit to your account.
If you do contact the police, Uber will comply with any formal requests for driver information that may be needed to pursue the matter to its end.

HI Tara,
You didn't delete the fare that I was charged today from the driver. I shouldn't be charged for that fare. If it's not taken back I will call the police about today's incident and write to your president's office.

Hi Uber,
I am demanding that I don't get charged for the ride below! This driver was rude, dangerous, honked at 2 drivers during our short trip home and scared me. If my phone battery wasn't low (my charger broke last night) I would have got out of the car and requested another driver. He is a completely dangerous driver, driving way too fast, changing lanes constantly and scared me. I didn't say anything to him, because he was so angry and unsafe. I just wanted to get home.
I texted him to tell him I needed help with my groceries (not many) since I hurt my knee. He didn't call nor text me back. He blamed me and said he preferred phone calls. Then he asked me where we were going? I told him and said "doesn't the technology tell you"? He wouldn't help me put my bags in the car, and told me I shouldn't be leaving the house if I needed help carrying things. He said he would help me bring my bags in, but didn't offer to help, and I didn't want him coming to my apartment anyway. Also, he yelled at me because I couldn't close the door after getting out of the car because my hands were full. He was emotionally abusive, and I can't believe you have drivers like that. I suggest you fire him, before he does something criminal. Also, I want to be compensated for my terrible experience and given extra credit since I had to endure something so terrible. I'm not exaggerating about his anger or rudeness. I didn't speak to him during the ride out of fear, and knew he would just be rude.
I should feel safe riding UBER as a woman, but now I don't feel that way. I have had great experiences with other UBER drivers. This wasn't the case.
