My appointment today was scheduled at 12:45, but when I got there I was notified that the wait time to be seen is 2-3 hours. What's the point of setting an appointment if I still have to wait so long? An hour, I could understand; two to three hours is ridiculous. They had so many employees at the store that were just standing around, yet they barely had people who can help at the Genius Bar. If appointments at the Genius Bar are running really behind, the least they could do is notify those of us who have later appointments so that we don't show up so early and are made to wait more than two hours.
Andrew was the one who helped me at the Genius Bar. He was very friendly and really listened to the issues I was having at hand. He ran the diagnostics test on my MacBook, installed the newest version of OS X on my laptop and that was it. He told me that because I had older MacBook Pro that they didn't have the parts to replace the battery then and there so I would have to go to a Apple certified repair shop. I was a little annoyed at the fact that none of the people I had talked to before I was seen by a Genius even bothered to check whether they had the battery for my laptop in stock. I honestly could've just gone to the repair shop without having to wait 2+ hours to be seen at Apple to be told to go somewhere else.
Besides Andrew, my whole experience today was not a pleasant one and that's why I avoid having to go here unless I have no other choice. Most of the employees just talk amongst themselves and don't really bother checking in with all the other customers they have. Will I be returning here to purchase anything again? Definitely not. I'll take my business elsewhere that actually provides decent customer service.
