Not great for seniors. My 94-year-old father and I visited today to see the IMAX movie on national parks. Very few handicap parking spots, but that was fine. It wasn't a far walk from the car to the elevator, then into the building.
Here's where Discovery Place needs to rethink their policy. After the movie, we were instructed to exit from the top of the theater. This forces elder visitors to climb a rather long set of narrow stairs.
UPDATE: I took the time to call today and question the policy of expecting elderly (or physically challenged) people to exit via a steep staircase. I spoke to a gentleman who vigorously defended their policy and said that accommodations could be made. But they certainly weren't in our case.
So be sure to ask for accommodation when buying your ticket - or you may face a challenging exit.
