I had never been to Carly's before and decided to brave it last night despite the crowd factor on a First Friday. We got there early enough that we were able to snag a table right away (about 6) and after waiting a bit, our waiter arrived and got us drinks and was a tiny bit pushy about wanting us to order right away. Normally, this would be alright but none of us had ever been there before. He backed off a bit, and was back when he saw all of our menu's closed.
We were glad to soak in the atmosphere of Carly's- it was people watching heaven, and the music was perfectly upbeat and a good mix of old and new hip hop. The wall art also fit in nicely (but I was more interested in the hottest man alive at the table next to me).
Our food came and everyone seemed happy with their selections. I had been difficult and needed to change my panini around and it came as ordered without any complaints. I got the caprese on flatbread, add turkey- they apparently don't have chicken. I enjoyed the side of orzo salad, as well- such a better option than chips!
I'd definitely check Carly's out again, and likely will when I live closer. I think it is a cute little unique spot with some menu items I'd love to try, and the service isn't harmfully bad (just a little spotty).
