Some appliance associates only seem to care about making a sale and not creating a customer for life...
Originally purchased brand new Samsung Washer/Dryer combo. For some reason, they delivered the floor model washer from this store because I noticed scratches all around the display pad area (the dryer was from another store where it was in stock). Called that evening and the female appliance associate told me something along the lines of "you already got a discount" and I could call tomorrow and talk to the Supervisor. (By the way, it was a Veteran discount during the Veterans Day sales event, not for purchasing a floor model).
Turns out the following morning he confirmed it was the floor model and he got it swapped out right away. I also asked him for the Washer manual that should always come with a brand new unit because we only had the Dryer manual. Second delivery we got the Washer swapped out. Later on I realized they brought the Washer manual but took the Dryer manual!!
So I called today and sounds like same female associate I talked to before. She said it should've been given during the delivery and she wouldn't have any idea where it would be at this point. She finally offered to check if one of the floor model manuals were available. I brought up to her that the dryer was only available at another store so I asked her for the location of where the Dryer was in stock and I would call. She told me where and said "Good luck"!!
Point of the matter, these little details mean a lot to some customers. It shows us whether or not the associates ultimately care about making things right and helping the customer out. She should have noticed the first time that the discount was for a sales event and not just say "you already got a discount for it" assuming we purchased a floor model and that she shouldn't have to do anything else about it. Today it would've been nice if SHE reached out to the other store to ask if they happened to have a copy of the manual as I explained to her why we wanted the hard copy and not a downloaded version, instead saying "Good luck".
Three stars because the original associate Josh and Sup on duty by the registers figured out how to apply the Veterans Discount on our original purchase. Not Five star because of the female appliance associate I encountered over the phone twice who seemed to care less.
