  • Three main complaints with Legoland Discovery Center: 1. Content for value is minimal 2. Price for adults to get in is punitive 3. Not suitable for any child over age 10 Longer review: This place is ridiculous for what they charge. After paying over $30 for admission to legoland and the aquarium, you start with legoland. Snap a picture. Stand on colored dots. Go into video room where there's an interactive video "tour" and 3 stupid participation points. Next, spend 25 mins standing in a line for the single ride that takes you at a mind numbing 2 mph and lets you shoot laser guns at dots and video screens. Ride lasts less than 5 mins. Next, you go view models of the valley. This was kind of interesting, but more like a musuem than anything. Then you go into the kids room and cafe area. Look at all the excited parents sitting around checking facebook and yawning as the children dig into lego bins to build things. There's another ride for super young kids, a fast food type jungle gym and climbing structure, a gender appropriate pink section for girls and cars for boys and then the movie theater. After leaving, you go back into the model room and then out to the gift shop. I'm sure there are a lot of parents/grandparents and kids that like this place, but the ROI isn't there. Parents should not be charge full price to walk a young child through the experience. There's NOTHING for adults to enjoy here. Even if you were a lego nerd, seeing a master model builder and some lego structures is not worth $22. There's also a Toy's R Us outlet in the mall that sells many of the same lego kits for less money. The aquarium was decent, but all the tanks were designed for children's level and not adults. You have to constantly bend over to look into the tanks. The good news is that visiting this place with a 10 year old made him want to NOT visit Legoland in CA. Woot! Now we can do a real theme park. If you're looking for a aquarium, go to the World WildLife Zoo. MUCH MUCH better! Legoland Discovery = parental rap3.
