| - After speaking with Moises (super nice sales person) for two weeks, getting an estimate for my car trade in (below pay off quote) I realized that the new Atlas would be something perhaps hard to purchase. Surprise! the week I have time to finally talk numbers ( very hard since my GF and I have opposite schedules and we have a set of twins that require full attention) turns out Moises no longer works there (weird) .... Ok so someone else reaches out to me, I explain that I have already made math and that the payments wouldn't square out. Well he convinced me to come in, nice over text messages (Eric). Finally I come on in and meet Larry. I explained to him the goal and my target monthly payment. He goes to bat for the payment I wanted ... Which happened to be extended to 84 months ... That's 7 years people!!. -- Cory manager--- comes back with me having to put 4k down, not covering nor coming close to meeting me half way on the difference on my trade in, telling me that my 15 Sorento is such a common car you can find it anywhere super cheap, last I checked same model it was still retailing above the pay off quote, I also check KBB and other sources, so when you low ball me on my trade in, doesn't make me very happy .. And at the end of the payments I'd end up paying 52k (weird how it had a 36k MSRP ) . I asked for the APR, which they wouldn't tell me... Ok... They keep telling me that it's such a nice car but I should look at a Tiguan. If I wanted a Tiguan (smaller than my trade in) I'd probably look at a brand that holds their value better like Toyota. If you don't want my business that's Ok, I could've saved you the trouble if you would've forwarded me numbers in my email as I requested previously. Especially since they already had my credit information.
After getting home I made numbers on what I offered and how much it would've totaled ... Still a pretty good profit for them... I would stay away, at least from Cory. Maybe ill look for a second 4runner we'll see.
