  • Had wanted this to be a good experience -but it was not. We had horrible experience with a A/C unit that line got clogged up, and drained through the walls and soaked the Carpets. The first time we thought it was the Washer--because Hallway by W/D and Master was Soaked--The came to fix-put blower under rug -to dry out took 3 days-The First Time-Then it happened again 3 Months later --Really ? This also took 3 days -during this time they wanted us to leave the blower on to "Dry" out Carpeting- it was EXTREMELY NOISY-We had to turn off to Sleep-then we discussed if it happened again we were definitely going to move-its as if they never ONCE OFFERED a Perk to make up for the Huge inconvenience-My Dozen or so Soaked Towels (until they got there) We were paying 1300 for LUXURY LIVING- ha ha we hadn't realized that a small lake was included! Then Icing on the cake -it happened Again !! Do you see a little ineptness with maintenance here? Again no one mentioned Sorry for inconvenience- we will take $$$ off your Rent-Nothing. We were Owed a Carpet Cleaning or $100 for Renewing our Rent - -- how i wish we had NOT renewed and Moved out prior to this Epic Flooding happening. Then we had a chance to Move and asked how much it was to Break lease- $1500 Yeah - Seriously--Well we figured it was worth it -Neither of us were happy there the Upstairs neighbors kids were Noisy and it just was not a Great Floor plan. We paid the Extra Money and my husband reminded them they owed us a Carpet Cleaning. No one got in touch with us-About it we figured they could use it after we moved- We had to Complain Loudly about the 3 SEPARATE TIMES WE WERE INCONVENIENCED By the Flood in the Hallway and Master--Because they Didn't Fix it Right the First time -to get a tiny Concession of $200!!! It should have been $200.00 each time! Tenant Laws State if you have paid your Rent that the Repair should not interfere with the Quality of living. Ya Think having to throw down a dozen or so towels until Maintenance could show up ? EPIC FAIL-Really My husband overheard them when the Supervisor came the THIRD TIME- that they had forgot about a outside DRAIN-and he said "that will never Never happen again--- Well Really? They were just 2 trips late--don't ya think. And the Fact that the Carpeting was Soaked with ICKY NASTY CONDENSATION WATER and Possibly PROBABLY MOLD. I sent them Pictures at Move Out showing them the Wall in Kitchen that was Dimpled and had a Black Stain-i sprayed it down with Bleach Water -because it Grossed me out-But they didn't seem to care. The Final Statement- They want us to PAY FOR REPLACING THE CARPET!! The Carpet that they were suppose to clean for us anyway for Renewing! The Carpet that was SOAKED by a Flood 3XXX -with NASTY -ICKY WATER- As if they weren't going to Replace that ? That is disgusting. They claimed the Area in dining Room had Permanent Dirt. Really? If you don't bother to Clean it how would you know?? But lets charge the Tenant-for this Nasty Carpet that they- (Ethically) would need to Replace anyway!! Tenant Laws Specific say they CAN NOT CHARGE FOR NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR- There were no Tears in the Carpet there was a LARGE Dining Room table there. I have lived in a lot of places - Normally I get ALL of my Deposit back--Since they Charge Very Little in Deposits -to get people in--i guess they use this "Final Statement" -- to gouge the Tenant when they Exit. I am quite simply appalled. I will use my knowledge of the Tenant Law-to Boldly Object these Charges. We Paid our Rent Every month on Time-without Fail. But they Failed us with less than "Luxury " living Standards. I NOT ONLY WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY I WILL STRONGLY DEFEND EXPOSING THERE UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. They tried to Charge us for the 20th- even though we moved out on evening of the 19th. Both invoices for Carpet "inspector" and Carpet install were Dated on the 20th !! Amazing how fast they could get that Carpet Repaired--yet we waited 2-3 days each time to have Maintenance come by and not Fix the Problem Properly. That is Because they were so happy to get it /leased-and Collect our 1500.00 PENALTY-- AND THEY WANT US TO PAY FOR CARPETING. So Bad- After working in a Real Estate Office for 10 years- I know that this type of Up Charging is clearly outrageous. I have Read many other /reviews online and this seems to be a Practice that Mark Taylor allows there Management . Bonus Pool ?? Just saying. As Large as mark Taylor is and with Repair and Maintenance as a Write Off why are they Charging Good Tenants? They wouldn't acknowledge there Failure -acted like the A/C flood was just a common thing-and were not in the slightest concerned about the BLACK MOLD... Buyer Beware---- If you live there...Take PICTURES of Every Room when you Move!!
