We were unfortunately assigned this company when we called in our garage door issue with our warranty company. The worker they sent was cold-tempered the minute he entered the door and after a brief look told us that the door must have always had problems. When I told him no, it had just happened - he treated me like I was lying. He then jumped on the phone to report to the warranty company that this should not be covered because he found a screw missing on the door hinge which he claimed eliminated the problem being caused by "wear and tear". Ummmm how did the screw fall out? Perhaps jostled out by the movement of the door -AKA wear and tear?? He acted like we were maniacs ripping screws out of our door then trying to trick the warranty company. When I complained that I had no idea that a screw was missing and it had worked just fine until it broke (we don't store a car in the garage, but I literally open it daily to ride bikes with my kid with no problem) he again acted like I was lying and said, "a garage door is like a car, you need to have it regularly serviced." Who thinks of servicing a door when it's working just fine? The last time we had an issue and heard it making a strange noise was 3 years ago. The warranty company called a different garage company who came and fixed it no problem within our coverage. Why would we mess with it again when it's been working fine since then? When I challenged any of his logic he started yelling at me, "So you want me to lie to your warranty company?!" Um, no, I just want you to rationally explain your diagnosis and not treat me like a lying criminal in my own home. Thanks to this rude employee of Cactus Garage Repair we have had our claim denied and must come out of pocket to fix it. This company was obnoxious, unhelpful and cost us a lot of money and anguish. I am sorry for anyone who gets this company randomly assigned to them, do NOT make the mistake of calling this company on purpose!
