rev:text	DON'T GO TO HEALTHCARE PARTNERS OF NEVADA ON WEST CHARLESTON IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR WIFE OR LOVED ONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife went in on August 8th 2014 for minor back pain and discomfort due to stress. Dr. Richard W Chen met with her and offered to prescribe Prednisone and asked my wife if she was allergic to it. My wife told him she didn't know if she was or not and asked if he had Naproxen? Dr. Chen proceeded to tell my wife that he felt Prednisone would work better so my wife trusted the good Doctor's advice and took it for a week. Today my wife called me from the side of the road where I could barely hear her faint voice asking me to come and get her that she couldn't drive and felt very sick. I rushed to pick her up and took her to Urgent care. The Doctor at urgent care said she was allergic to Prednisone and that she will most likely feel very sick for the next week maybe two weeks. I called Healthcare Partners of Nevada where she was prescribed the Prednisone trying to reach the office manager and I was hung up on 3 times by Clifford (Cliff) and a girl for simply asking to speak to the office manager!!! I decided to drive down there to see if I could speak with the office manager or someone about the situation. I was confronted by by Cliff who just made things worse. After asking several times I met with the Office Manager Michelle who asked me what happened. I told her and explained my wife missed worked today and has been feeling really sick the past few days. I told her that the Prednisone ending up costing us about $200.00 by missing work (my wife has no sick days), the gas it took to drive across Las Vegas to pick her up and the cost for the Urgent care and new medications to treat the allergic reaction from the Prednisone. I also explained that we are financially broke and may lose our house and my wife is already very worried about every dollar we have. I explained that I wanted to see if they would reimburse us the cost of their Doctor not being careful and as a direct result causing my wife pain and suffering and our loss of money that we don't have. Michelle the office manager said she would call me later after she asks her boss to see what they could do. I received a call about 1 hour later from Michelle telling us that according to the upper management Dr. Richard W Chen followed "protocol" and there was nothing they could do. In other words -- TOO BAD YOUR WIFE IS SICK BUT WE DON' CARE!!!!! I looked up Prednisone at the Mayo Clinic website and it says the following: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- How are prednisone and corticosteroids used? These medications are used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, asthma, allergies and many other conditions. They also treat conditions such as Addison's disease, in which the adrenal glands don't produce enough steroids, and help prevent organ rejection in transplant recipients. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ THIS DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A MEDICATION THAT SHOULD BE USED TO TREAT MINOR BACK PAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND ANY DOCTOR SHOULD NOT PRESCRIBE A HEAVY DUTY MEDICINE IF THE PATIENT ISNT SURE IF SHE IS ALLERGIC OR NOT!!!! DONT GO TO HEALTHCARE PARTNERS OF NEVADA IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!!! BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE!!!!
