| - I went with a group of girls to Tao Beach yesterday and was NOT impressed. First of all, it is very small and crowded. Second, they say they have "free" lounge chairs, but what they don't tell you is that if they are busy (which is always), they add a food & drink minimum. Of course, they won't tell you this over the phone, only once you're already there. Then, after you've plunked down $150 for 2 lounge chairs, they add a 20% gratuity onto your bill. This, apparently means the waitresses don't have to come around since they are already getting a huge tip no matter what. We had to flag down a waitress every time we wanted anything, and we often went 30-40 minutes without seeing a waitress at all.
We also had to move chairs halfway through the day because some loud, snobby girls next to us put up an umbrella and we were not in the mood for shade. After the guys who worked there made us move all our stuff, they took the stupid umbrella down. We left immediately after that.
There are soooo many better options in Las Vegas for pool parties. Please tell everyone you know to go somewhere else! I suggest the M resort.
