| - Let me start off by saying I understand the part that part of my documents were left in Southern California. But, for a person to say, "Uber will be your friend this weekend!" Is rude and bullshit. Let me set the stage. I show up tell this person (Alice), my drivers license situation. I just renewed it. Left my receipt in So Cal I also advise her of 34 years of service. 10 plus years an automotive crime expert. Recovering, and investigating 100s, and 100s of Rental car cases. As a patrol cop, and as detective probably over 100 suspects prosecuted for rental car theft. Many of them being Budget Rent Car cases. And what do I get, "Uber will be your friend this weekend". Did I mention Im in town for a charity event, on my own time and dime. And the reservation was pre paid. The manager (Norm) comes out and he was just as rude as the first person. I will never rent another car from Budget, Avis or any other company associated with them. Its one thing not to rent a vehicle. Respect and compassion goes a long way. Step up your game, and step up from the minimum wage, working at the front counter of Walmart mentality. I will update later with the names of these less than desirable people.
